Using your Email Service

Email Service (One Email Account (POP/IMAP) and Email Forwarding) is provided free when you purchase any Product/Service (except Email Hosting) through Karoon.net. You need to perform the following steps in order to start using the Email Service:

Activate the Email Service

The first step towards using the Email Service is to activate it. Follow the below steps to do so:

  1. Proceed to the Email Service interface. 1

  2. Click Manage FREE Email Service. The Email Service will be activated when you click Manage FREE Email Service for the first time.

Note

For Resellers: The Email Service can be activated only if it belongs to a Customer directly under you.

Authorize our Email Server to send/receive mails for your domain name

Upon activating your Email Service, you need to enable our Email Server to be able to send/receive mails for your domain name. The simplest method to allow this is to modify your domain name's Name Servers to ours. Follow the process outlined below to know what Name Servers you need to use:

  1. Proceed to the Email Service interface. 2

  2. Click the Configure Now link.

  3. Here, you would find under the Required Nameservers heading, the list of Name Servers you need to set for your domain name.

Note
  • If the domain name is registered through Karoon.net and the Name Servers are not the same as those required to use the Email Service, the system will display a Auto-update nameservers button. You can view the Name Servers the domain name is currently pointing to by clicking the Current Nameservers link. Clicking the Auto-update the nameservers for me button will automatically update the Name Servers.

  • If the domain name is registered through Karoon.net and is using the Name Servers required to use the Email Service, these Name Servers will be displayed for informational purpose.

  • If the domain name is not registered with Karoon.net, the Name Servers required to use the Email Service will be displayed. You need to point your domain name to these Name Servers through the domain name management console provided by your domain name registration service provider.

  • If you wish to retain the Name Servers of your domain name instead of using our Name Servers, you would need to create the DNS Records listed on this page on the existing Name Servers.
